A family print subscription for grandparents
A printed journal of your family's month, in their letterbox every month.
Everyone in the family adds photos and a few words to one thread. The editor finds the pages. On the 25th the issue closes, and it lands with the grandparents around the 3rd.
How it works
One month, five beats.
- 1All month
The family drops photos and words in the thread
Parents, aunts, cousins: anyone in the circle posts to one shared thread from their phone. A photo, a line, a voice note. No albums to build.
- 2As you go
Pages appear in the issue as they are made
Add a photo to the issue and it becomes a page, laid out for print, announced in the thread. The issue fills up in front of everyone.
- 3Quietly
The editor finds moments in your photos and asks nothing
The app notices the afternoon at the lake and the first day of school, and proposes them as pages. Nothing uploads until you say yes.
- 4The 25th
The issue closes
A short letter is drafted from the month, the cover is chosen, the pages are put in order. You read it once, or let it go on its own.
- 5Around the 3rd
It arrives
A 16-page printed booklet in the letterbox. No app, no screen, no password. Just this month, on paper.
What is inside
Sixteen pages, every month.
A5, saddle-stitched, printed on thick matte paper. The same shape every month so it becomes a habit on the kitchen table.
Cover
The month, the issue number and the family name, over one photo.
The letter
A page of news drafted from what the family shared, in the grandparents' language.
The month's pages
Ten pages of photos with captions, one to four photos each.
Things they said
The lines the kids came out with this month, saved from the thread.
Letters back
A page kept for the grandparents, and a line for their reply.
Back cover
The Memoir mark, the family's address and a code to the web copy.
For the grandparents
They need nothing.
No account, no app, no screen. The booklet arrives in the post and that is the whole product for them.
Print only
Every issue is a physical booklet, mailed to their address. Nothing to install or remember.
A code on the back
Each issue carries a small code that opens a web copy, for the day they want to show a neighbour on a phone.
A reply line, later
A line on the last page for writing back. A way to send it by phone is on the way.
Pricing
One plan. One printed issue a month.
Billed monthly, one copy included. Skip any month, cancel any time.

Extra copies
A second set of grandparents? Each extra copy of the same issue, mailed to its own address, is €15 each, per month. Up to four households per circle.
Skip any month
Quiet month, holidays, nothing to say? Skip it from the app before the 25th. You are not charged and nothing prints. A month with fewer than eight pages is skipped on its own.
Cancel any time
From your subscription page. The next issue stops; an issue that has already closed still ships.
Give it
Give 3, 6 or 12 issues.
Paid once, no renewal. The family sets up the circle; the grandparents just open the post.
Questions
Good to know.
Who can add photos?
Anyone you invite to the family circle: parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, older kids with a phone. Up to twelve people. Everyone posts to the same thread and sees the same issue taking shape.
How many pages is an issue?
Sixteen pages, and an issue can grow to twenty-four in a busy month. Ten of them are photo pages; the rest are the cover, the letter, the sayings page, the reply page and the back cover.
What if we forget a month?
An issue with fewer than eight filled pages is skipped: not printed, not charged. The thread reminds you on the 7th, the 14th and the 21st, and you can skip any month yourself from the app.
We have two sets of grandparents.
Add a second recipient with their own address and language. One plan covers the circle; each extra copy is added to the month's price and mailed separately.
Does it work in French and in English?
Yes. Each recipient has a language, so the same issue can go out in English to one household and in French to the other. Captions and the letter follow the recipient.
How do I cancel?
From your subscription page, at any time. Cancelling stops the next issue; the current one still ships if it has already closed. Gift subscriptions simply end after their last issue.
Start this month's issue.
The thread opens the day you subscribe. The first issue closes on the 25th.
